Plateau Area Writers Association presents in 2008:

Enumclaw Plateau History Project: Plateau Area Writers Association is spearheading the formation of a partnership with the City of Enumclaw, the Enumclaw City Library and the Enumclaw Historical Society for the purpose of promoting a community wide historical preservation project.  Phase I: collect historical photographs from the public. Additional photographs from the Library and Historical Society may used to augment the next phases. Copies will be made and preserved for their historical value and stored at the library and museum. Originals will be returned to their owners so that they will not loose their heritage. Phase II: Reproductions of the photographs will be distributed to local artists and writers interested in using the historical theme to inspire their art and craft. In addition, a video film will be produced featuring the writers reading/telling the original story. Phase III: A gallery presentation of all media open to the public. You can help. Look through your old photographs for something of historical value. Contact Lois Walker.

We are sad to announce the passing of our dedicated member, Dennis Keene. Dennis founded our Playwright's critique group & we enjoyed a performance of one of his plays at our Christmas 2006 Quarterly Meeting. He will be missed. Plans for the continuation of his critique group will be posted on the critique page shortly.
